I was taking math class for a 11th grade student. Giri was not too good at math. He is not too serious about his studies and playful. After one exam got over we were discussing answers. During the time of our conversation we came across a problem which he felt very difficult.
Question:
Find the value of tan(1485°)
The problem looks difficult for a person who didn’t explore the concept of trigonometry. If you explore the concept then you will feel so easy. Our discussion about the problem gives him intuitive thought, that i could feel.As this value is equal to tan(45°). Which is obviously one.
This event gives me a thought of every student is ready to learn. But finding the correct switch to trigger them may not been identified immediately. Everyone life changing moment we are talking. In subject also maybe one question, if he felt the way of learning through self or by others can change his attitude towards the subject.
